About Candlelight Radio
Candlelight Radio is a Dutch online radio station bringing listeners a warm and romantic mix of beautiful love songs and timeless pop classics.
The station was founded in 2005 by legendary Dutch radio presenter Jan van Veen, creator of the famous Candlelight radio program. The original program dates back to 1967 and became known throughout the Netherlands for Van Veen's distinctive voice, romantic music and poems submitted by listeners.
Following Jan van Veen's passing in 2024, Candlelight Radio continued with the familiar music format. His voice remains part of the station, and recordings from the extensive Candlelight poetry archive continue to keep his radio legacy alive.
